A pleasant-looking day in Michiana, but still fairly cold is expected today, with highs just barely getting out of the high 20s. The sun will be peeking out behind the clouds today, with more clouds gathering through the evening hours in front of a warm front that will accelerate our warm-up. This warmup is also bringing precipitation through the day on Monday, with freezing rain expected in the morning hours, right around the time you are head out the door. Ice accumulation is expected to be below 0.1 inches, even if the roads are treated there will likely be some slick spots. Freezing rain switched to just rain through the afternoon and then brings a chance for a rain/snow mix later in the evening. The system moves out late Monday night, leaving us with highs closer to 40 on Tuesday. A slight rain chance Christmas morning, with a higher likelihood for rain as we approach the weekend. Highs in the low 50s Saturday.
Today: Cold, but warmer than yesterday. Sun peeks through some clouds. High 31.
Tonight: Gathering clouds, breezy. Low 26.
Monday: Precipitation starts around 6am. Freezing rain in the morning, switching to rain in the afternoon. High 38.
Tuesday: Warm-up continues under mostly cloudy skies. High 39.
