Skating, music, lights all part of New Year's Eve at Howard Park Ice Trail

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Dec. 31, South Bend Park, Venues, and Arts is putting on a celebration at the Howard Park Ice Trail and Pond that will allow families to get out and celebrate the evening well before midnight.

"This New Year’s Eve, ring in 2025 with an unforgettable evening of ice skating, music, and lights at Howard Park Ice Trail and Pond," organizers said. "Guests of all ages are invited to glide through the ice trail, enjoy music from a live DJ, and witness a one-of-a-kind New Year’s Eve drone light show."

The evening starts at 6 p.m., with the first skate session featuring a live DJ.

The drone lights show will countdown to 7 p.m. which will serve as the New Year’s Eve celebration. A second DJ session at 8 p.m. that will keep the energy high as skaters enjoy the Howard Park ice.

"Spectators are invited to view the drone lights show on or off the ice," organizers said. "The best spot to view the show will be near the Ice Trail and Pond."

A cash bar will be available on-site, offering festive beverages for adults to sip as they enjoy the evening.

The drone light show is free, and skate tickets will cost $7 for those ages 3-17, and $10 for adults 18 and over.
