CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- At approximately 8 a.m. that Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a single vehicle roll-over crash near the area of Mud Lake Street and Penn Road in Cassopolis.

Upon arrival, the investigation showed that a vehicle, driven by a 71-year-old male, was traveling eastbound on Mud Lake Street when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a tree, and overturned the vehicle.

Life saving measures were performed, but the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver is said to not have been wearing a seatbelt and alcohol or drugs are not believed to be a factor.

This crash remains under investigation.
