Single motorcycle crash due to foggy conditions

CASS COUNTY, Mich.-- Sheriff Richard J. Behnke reports that deputies of the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to a single vehicle crash on M62 Hwy and Brick Church Rd at 6:32 a.m. on July 11.

The investigation showed that the suspect driving the motorcycle was Isaac Hunt, a 56-year-old from South Bend.

Hunt was going around a curve in when he lost control in foggy conditions and laid the bike down on the pavement. 

He was transported to Borgess Lee Dowagiac Hospital for injuries sustained in the traffic crash.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in the crash and Hunt was not wearing a helmet.

The crash remains under investigation.
