UPDATE: Fourth shooting victim found Sunday afternoon following shooting on Bissell Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- UPDATE: The South Bend Police Department reports they're now aware of a fourth shooting victim related to this incident after the victim took themselves to the hospital Sunday afternoon.

Police say they're continuing to investigate the Sunday morning shooting on Bissell Street.

At this time, authorities believe nearly 200 rounds were fired from multiple firearms.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit is handling the investigation and processing case facts and evidence.

ORIGINAL STORY: Three people have been shot in the 1300 block of Bissell Street. Police responded to this shooting around 1:11 a.m. 

Upon arrival, officers located three victims with apparent gunshot wounds. All were transported to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.

There is no update on the severity of their injuries. 

More than 100 rounds are believed to have been fired in this incident, with multiple homes and vehicles struck by gunfire.

The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
