Lake effect snow continues across southern Michigan and some far northern Indiana communities (La Porte, South Bend) for the next several hours, dissipating between the late morning and early afternoon. Conditions overall are much less impactful on your commute than yesterday, but pockets of <1 mile visibility and slick roads are likely out the door. Cold weather advisories continue for all northern Indiana counties until 9 AM EST this morning while the winter weather advisories in Berrien and Cass expire at 7 AM. A quiet afternoon is accompanied by temperatures near 20 degrees, although wind chills stay near the single digits most of today. Scattered snow showers return via surface low later tonight with lake enhancement taking over Wednesday morning, meaning accumulating snow is likely along and north of the IN/MI state line. Plan on hazardous driving conditions in the first half of tomorrow. After a brief break in the snow Wednesday afternoon and evening, more accumulating snow arrives early Thursday morning
