ORIGINAL STORY: BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Multiple people are injured, including one person seriously injured, after a highway crash involving a semitruck and a bus.
This happened just before noon today, April 21, on eastbound I-94 in Royalton Township. Sherriff's Office officials say a U-Haul truck pulling a trailer made a last-minute lane change in an active construction zone, which forced surrounding vehicles to slow down quickly. The semitruck did not slow down, and rear-ended the small passenger bus, which was converted for personal use. The bus was then pushed into a small Buick SUV.
The crash remains under investigation by the county's traffic crash reconstruction unit.
