Semi-truck fire in Warsaw Thursday morning

WARSAW, Ind. --The Warsaw Police Department reports officers and crews with the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to a semi-truck on fire around 8:46 a.m., Thursday, in the westbound lanes of U.S. 30, just west of Detroit Street.

Westbound lane restrictions were in place but have since been lifted.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the fire, which was contained to the inside of the Western Star truck cab.

Police say the driver was able to stop the truck on the road's shoulder and detach the trailer.

No injuries were reported.
