VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Michigan Department of Transportation announced replacement work will begin on June 16 for the Brandywine Creek culvert under M-40, a $2.1 million investment.
MDOT officials say the work includes hot-mix asphalt reconstruction, culvert replacement, drainage upgrades, guardrail improvements, signs and pavement markings on M-40 at 24th Avenue.
Officials say M-40 and 24th Avenue will be closed during construction, and traffic will be detoured to M-43, C.R. 653 and C.R. 388.
MDOT says 24th Avenue will be detoured on 36th Street.
Officials expect the work to be complete by Sept. 26.
