School bus driver in critical condition after crash in Jasper County

Jasper County, Ind. - A school bus driver is in critical condition and a truck driver is facing charges for leaving the scene of an accident following a crash in Jasper County.

Police say the crash happened on I-65 late Thursday night.

Fortunately, there were no children on the bus when the crash occurred.

Investigators say they received a call about a crash between a school bus and a semi shortly after 11 Thursday night.

When they arrived on the scene the bus driver was pinned in the vehicle, but he was alert.

He was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

They say the truck driver pulled over to help when the accident first happened, but then he drove off.

He was arrested overnight when police tracked him down.
