SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Fire Department reports crews responded to a residential fire just before 6 a.m., Friday, in the 4800 block of Huntly Court.

Firefighters arrived to find a working fire and began a search and attack.

Fire officials say the fire started on the lower level of the home before spreading upstairs, causing extensive damage throughout.

The report states crews had the fire under control within 20 minutes.

No one was home at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured.

The fire's cause remains under investigation.
