SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Ahead of the 4th of July holiday, the South Bend Cubs wrapped up a nine-game homestand in style. The team donned special patriotic jerseys in Monday and Tuesday's matchups against the Bowling Green Hot Rods, and used the occasion to do some good for the community.
The Cubs are auctioning off the jerseys, with proceeds benefitting the Ronald McDonald House Charity of Michiana. Not only were they partnered monetarily, but the Cubs also highlighted the organization in pregame ceremonies and welcomed several RMHC families to the park.
