Saint Mary's students to host prom for cancer patients and survivors

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Saint Mary's College is hosting a dance for cancer patients and survivors.

Students in the club "Stand Up to Cancer" started decorating Thursday afternoon and they've got everything covered, even down to the dresses donated especially for the event.

Organizers say they want to make the night special for those fighting cancer.

"We just wanted to give them a prom and just have a night that they could just come celebrate their life and try to forget at least their struggles and just enjoy themselves,” said Devon Graham.

The dance is Friday from 6 to 9.
