Saint Joseph High School earns large grant for eLearning

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Saint Joseph High School earned a 2020 Views on Learning (VOL) Technology Innovation Grant. The nearly $25,000 grant will help expand the eLearning format and provide additional technology.

The additional technology such as document cameras, microphones, filtering, and a student self-management software called "studyo" will be part of the funding.

The COVID-19 distance learning period alerted school officials about more areas that needed improvement in online education. These will be specifically targeted by the VOL Technology Innovation Grant.

VOL is a non-profit organization that operates nationally and focuses on providing resources and opportunities for video conferencing and distance education via the internet.

With Saint Joseph High School being selected, they are also eligible for ten hotspot devices and up to four additional videoconferencing accounts.
