Saint Joseph Health System updates visitation guidelines

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Saint Joseph Health System has announced new visitation guidelines based on COVID-19 case counts in the area.

On Wednesday, SJHS modified guidelines based on the number of active COVID cases per 100,000 residents in St. Joseph, Elkhart, and Marshall Counties during the previous seven days.

Visitation guidelines will now adhere to the following three levels:

  • Level Green – Less than or equal to 50 cases per 100,000 people
  • Level Yellow – Greater than 50 but less than 100 cases per 100,000 people
  • Level Red – Greater than or equal to 100 cases per 100,000 people

Effective Friday, SJHS is implementing the Level Red visitation guidelines, which requires that visitors wear masks and be screened for COVID-19 symptoms.

The Health System will continue to monitor COVID-19 data each day and will update visitation guidelines weekly as needed.

Specifications for Level Red can be found here.
