Saint Joseph Health System and UnitedHealthcare reach agreement

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Saint Joseph Health System has announced they've reached a new multi-year agreement to re-instate patients' in-network access to SJHS hospitals, facilities, and health care providers.

Officials say you may now schedule appointments and seek care at SJHS as normal again.

The two organizations initially announced their split in early July when negotiations broke down.

Part of SJHS's statement reads on their website as:

"Thank you for your patience and support as we worked to reach a fair agreement with UnitedHealthcare. This will allow us to provide the high-quality care our patients and community members rely on. We look forward to continuing our relationship with UnitedHealthcare and doing our part to ensure Health Comes First."

You can find even more information on the SJHS website.
