SAINT JOSEPH, Mich. - A firefighter is on paid administrative leave while investigators look into allegations that he had a relationship with a minor. Captain Scott Moore, a veteran with the Saint Joseph City Fire Department wouldn’t tell ABC 57 News what it was all about when asked Friday.
The Berrien County Sheriff’s Department says they began an investigation into the allegations on October 20th. According to investigators, at least some of the evidence is computer related and the investigation is revolving around a female under the age of 18.
According to Chief Mark Clapp, with the Saint Joseph City Police Department, Moore was put on leave and is banned from city owned property the public does not have access to.
ABC 57 News found Moore at his home in Saint Joseph Friday. "No comment," he replied to questions about the allegations. "Anything that will be stated will be through my attorney"
According to investigators, it’ll take at least three weeks more to go through the evidence.
