Annual food drop at Granger Community Church
SAINT JOSEPH, Mich. -- Today, July 11, the Rock the Boat Cardboard Boat Races set sail in stylish fashion as they raised money for United Way of Southwest Michigan.
25 boats participated in this competition, creating unique boats entirely made out of cardboard.
"It's about community engagement. It's about making sure that people understand that we're here to serve our community as one of the anchor institutions here and Benton Harbor. It's all about the students. It's all about the community. And it's having fun," said Boat Racer Linwood Whitten.
