Repeat child pornography offender sentenced to 10 years in prison

St. Joseph County Jail

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A La Porte man who was found guilty of Possession of Child Pornography after a one-day trial earlier this year was sentenced to ten years in prison followed by seven years of supervised release.

According to documents in the case, in September 2022, fifty-one-year-old Matthew Frazier was on probation for prior state court convictions of Child Exploitation and Possession of Child Pornography when a search of his residence resulted in the recovery of an electronic device which contained 18 photos and 18 videos of child sexual abuse material.

The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, which was created by the United States Justice Department in 2006.

Frazier was sentenced by the United States District Court in South Bend.
