"After speaking with both drivers and fans, the picture is clear; losing Busch is tragic, and losing anyone in the racing family is tragic. The reactions shared reflect how interconnected racing is, both amateur and professional, local and national - that all racing will be deeply affected for some time to come."
Both drivers and fans commented.
Bobby Stremme, Street Stock Driver No. 07 said "I've been racing for 30 years now. This year, my brothers ran NASCAR, and that with Kyle racing is like family. I mean, it's a, it's a loss to sport that is going to be to me detrimental. I mean, just as bad as when Dale Earnhardt passed away."
Windy Lauderback, a race and Plymouth resident shared "I'm a big race car fan, and I'm sorry about him passing. It hurts my feelings too."
And Elliot Burge, a race fan and resident of LaPorte told us, "I heard the news yesterday. I felt pretty sad about it... I've been a fan of him since I was a little kid... a lot of people at work watch a lot of racing, like me, and we're all just shot today." He added "Love him or hate him, he's a great racer. I mean, you have to (be to) put an impact on the racing community,"
