Rainy Thanksgiving; snow tonight

NOW: Rainy Thanksgiving; snow tonight

Happy Turkey Day! It’s going to be rainy, so make sure any dishes you cook are covered before you take them outdoors to the car. Rain turns to lighter rain showers by afternoon, before eventually turning into a wintry mix or snow late today.

Temperatures this morning are starting in the mid 40s, but temperatures fall through the day. It will feel cooler this afternoon in the 30s.

As temperatures fall, we could see the rain slowly turn to snow showers. Impacts are low for this evening, however, overnight a few lake effect snow showers are likely overnight. These lake effect snow showers could see some minor accumulations (less than 1”) by Friday morning.

Keep in mind if you are Black Friday shopping early, there could be some slick spots on the road, so give yourself plenty of time to drive safely before you get to the mall.

Temperatures tomorrow are cooler - the morning starts in the mid 20s, with a warm up only into the mid 30s by afternoon.

The weekend starts quiet on Saturday. By Sunday morning, there are some snow/rain shower chances, although not looking like a wash for the entire day. Next week trends on the drier side.

Thanksgiving: Rain showers, turning to snow showers late. Afternoon temperatures falling into the 30s.

Tonight: Lake effect snow. Breezy. Low 26.

Black Friday: Cold and cloudy. High 36.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. High 40.
