Highs made it into the 50s in South Bend and other parts of Michiana Tuesday. Clear skies this evening will allow that warmth to escape skyward, with lows dipping to near the freezing point Wednesday morning. Rain showers are likely Wednesday, mainly in the morning. Temperatures will eventually make another run at 50 degrees. A few more rain showers are possible overnight into Thursday morning. Thursday will be cloudy and chilly with highs in the lower 40s. The last day of February Friday will be windy and warm with highs in the middle 50s. Winds could gust over 40 mph. Spring isn't completely here to stay, however. This weekend will be chilly with highs in the middle 30s.

Tomorrow: Showers in the morning, then cloudy in the afternoon. High 50.
