South Bend Community Police Review Board met Thursday night
Michiana kicks off Wednesday morning quiet but cooler than yesterday with a passing cold front yesterday evening. Highs top out just below 50F as showers arrive late this morning and fizzle out through the afternoon. More wet weather develops around midnight as a surface low migrates into the Great Lakes, bringing gusty westerly winds that will generate lake-enhanced rain and snow late tonight into early tomorrow morning. While initially a rain/snow mix, the general motion of the low pressure will be conducive towards pure snow showers through most of Thursday morning, including the AM commute. With wind gusts of 30-40 mph expected, visibility while driving will be a bigger concern than accumulation on roadways. Snow showers taper off early Thursday afternoon, eventually giving way to scattered rain showers through Friday morning. Low temperatures over the next two nights will be at or below freezing in the low 30s, warranting a winter jacket out the door.
Today: AM showers. High 48.
Tonight: Rain/snow mix, then snow late. Low 32.
Thursday: Rain/snow showers. High 40.
Friday: Scattered showers. High 46.
