Public opening and dedication of Peace Garden Friday in Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. -- The Goshen Parks and Recreation Department announced it will hold an official public opening and dedication for its newest sanctuary, the Peace Garden, on Friday at 1 p.m.

Officials say the new green space offers a unique combination of tranquility and natural beauty, surrounding a 100-year-old White Oak Tree.

Mike Puro and Laurie Tweddale dedicated the garden in memory of their beloved daughter-in-law Satu Annikki Riikonen.

The dedication will take place at the Reith Interpretive Center, located at 410 W. Plymouth Ave.
