Previewing Notre Dame’s offense: Love, Price, and Carr ready to light up Arkansas
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Notre Dame is set to take on a 2–2 Arkansas team that may not be ranked but boasts one of the SEC’s most explosive offenses, averaging more than 43 points per game.
The Irish bring plenty of firepower of their own. Running backs Jeremiyah Love and Jadarian Price have emerged as a true one-two punch. Offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock even called them a “yin and yang,” praising how they respect each other’s abilities and put the team first.
Against Purdue, the duo combined for six touchdowns. Love has been the steady workhorse, piling up 52 carries for 284 yards—that’s 5.5 yards per rush—along with four touchdowns and nearly 370 all-purpose yards. Price has provided the spark, averaging nearly seven yards a carry on just 27 touches and already scoring five times on the ground. Add in a 100-yard kickoff return, and he’s approaching 375 yards of total offense.
Quarterback C.J. Carr is thriving with these weapons around him. He completed 10 of 12 passes for 223 yards against Purdue, leaning on his backs and one of the nation’s strongest offensive lines.
Love summed it up best: the only ones who can stop Notre Dame’s offense are themselves. With the mindset that “pressure is a privilege,” the Irish are ready to fight—and Arkansas will be the next test.
