Portage Township SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Portage Township announced Tuesday that it will host free community dinners where residents can sit and eat with town officials on the second Thursday of every month throughout 2026.
The first of these monthly Community and Conversations dinners is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 8, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. The free, informal gathering will be held at the Portage Commons Senior Enrichment Center at 133 N. William Street in South Bend.
