Police reminding public of South Bend curfew ordinances

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The South Bend Police Department is reminding the public of curfew ordinances ahead of the last day of school in South Bend on Wednesday.

Children who are 15, 16, or 17 years old cannot be in a public place between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday, after 11 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, or before 5 a.m. on Monday through Friday (Sec. 14-6).

Children under 15 years of age cannot be in a public place after 11 p.m. or before 5 a.m. on any day of the week (Sec. 14-7).

Police Chief Scott Ruszkowski is reminding parents to know where kids are, what they’re doing and who they are with at all times.
