Police say missing woman has been found safe
LINCOLN TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- Police asked for the public's help locating 51-year-old Karim Donayre on Wednesday. They announced on Thursday she had been found safe.
Donayre rode her bike to the nearby Lincoln Township Park on Notre Dame Avenue Sunday afternoon.
She texted her boyfriend and he drove to the beach to meet her around 5 p.m., police said.
A short time later, her boyfriend left in his car and Donayre planned to ride her bike the mile and a half back to their home. Donayre never arrived.
Lincoln Township Police and Fire conducted a search of the area that Ms. Donayre was last seen. A drone from Great Lakes Drone Company assisted in the search.
Donayre and her bicycle have not been located.
Donayre was last seen wearing jean shorts, a white top and was riding an orange mountain bike with a black basket. She is 51 years old about 5’2” and weighs about 100 pounds. She has short brown hair with blond highlights.
