NEW BUFFALO, Mich. -- A new spot rolling into Michigan where folks can buy their weed, and smoke it too, right off of I-94 near the Four Winds Casino.
Friday afternoon the ribbon was cut at Rolling Embers, marking a new beginning for the Pokagan Ban of Potawatomi as they enter the Cannabis scene in New Buffalo.
Rolling Embers separates itself from other weed shops in the area, including a consumption lounge which is one of only three in Michigan and only few in the country. It is the first outdoor consumption lounge and the first for the Tribe.
Seasoned users as well as those looking to learn more about the products are welcome. Trained staff will be available to assist consumers, and avoid over consumption on site.
Many came out for a soft launch where they were able to purchase the Michigan sourced products including prerolls, gummies, and THC vapes. All while enjoying live music, food trucks, and the beautiful weather.
The Ban says safety will be a high priority, as the facility is tribe licensed.
The grand opening will be hosted on 4/20, of course, with specials as well as more live music and food.
As a reminder: operating a Motor Vehicle while high is illegal in Michigan, while consumption is still illegal in Indiana.
