Paw Paw man faces drug charges, CPS called for children found at drug house

VAN BUREN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Van Buren County Sheriff's Office reports a 43-year-old Paw Paw man was arrested following the Van Buren County Narcotics Unit's investigation into the illicit sale of methamphetamine and cocaine.

The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a home in the 200 block of Willard Street.

Detectives located a loaded 40 caliber handgun, 23.7 ounces of methamphetamine and 15.7 ounces of cocaine during the search.

Detectives also seized about $5,200.00 in cash directly related to the sale of narcotics.

Authorities noted two small children in the house at the time of the search.

Child Protective Services were contacted to conduct a joint investigation.

The suspect was arrested and taken to Van Buren County Jail without incident.

The investigation is ongoing.

The suspect has been charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Cocaine. Felony Firearm, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Maintaining a Drug House.
