SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Sunday, May 4, around 1:15 a.m., South Bend Police Department responded to the 3400 block of West Sample St. due to a ShotSpotter notification.

When officers were in enroute to the location, they were advised of a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound at a South Bend restaurant. 

The male victim was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The South Bend Police Department's Violent Crimes Unit is handling the investigation.
