FIRST WARNING NEIGHBORHOOD WX FORECAST
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2019
The heat, humidity and thunderstorms will continue for the next few days. It won’t rain all day on any one day, but the threat for scattered thunderstorms exists each afternoon and evening thru Friday, possibly even Saturday. Daily temperatures will push into the middle and upper 80s under partly to mostly cloudy skies. By the time we get to the weekend, we will have seen 10 straight days at or above 85° in South Bend. That is significant because it has only happened three other times this century!
A shift in the pattern is expected, though, by this weekend and next week with dry skies, cooler temperatures and lower humidity for much of Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
We could see a system swing through Tuesday and/or Wednesday of next week, bringing a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Exact timing on that system is still up in the air a bit.
Tonight: A few thunderstorms possible, low of 70.
Wednesday: Partly to mostly cloudy, scattered thunderstorms. High of 86.
Thursday: Partly to mostly cloudy, scattered thunderstorms. High of 88.
Friday: Partly to mostly cloudy, scattered thunderstorms. High of 88.
