HOWARD, Mich. -- Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff's Office responded to an accident around 6:50 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Barron Lake Rd and White Street.
According to Deputies, a 44-year-old Kalamazoo resident was traveling North on Barron Lake Rd. when his vehicle hit a patch of ice and lost control. That caused him to collide with another vehicle that was traveling South, driven by a 61-year-old man from Niles.
The 61-year-old was transported by ambulance to South Bend Memorial Hospital for his injuries.
The 44-year-old was treated on scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
