One injured in a two-vehicle crash

Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on Oct. 25, at approximately 4:30 p.m., his office was called to investigate a personal injury crash at the intersection of US-12 in Cass County, Mich. 

Investigation shows that 53-year-old, White Pigeon resident; Kathy Lee was traveling Eastbound on US-12 when she proceeded to attempt an improper U-Turn.

A second vehicle driven by 35-year-old Sturgis resident, Jonathon Lipko was driving Eastbound on US-12 behind Lee’s vehicle when he struck Lee’s vehicle while she was attempting an improper U-Turn.

Lee was transported to South Bend Memorial for injuries sustained in the crash.

Seat belts were worn by both subjects and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.

Assisting in this crash was Porter Township Fire, SEPSA Ambulance Service, and Edwardsburg Ambulance Service.
