NOTRE DAME, Ind. — The Notre Dame women's basketball team possess an uncoachable component in Niele Ivey's second season that wasn't there in 2020... Experience.
The Fighting Irish went 10-10 last and will look to bounce back to prominence in 2021.
Head coach Niele Ivey said senior guards Dara Mabrey and Abby Prohaska bring the experience Notre Dame needs and will spark the Irish this season.
Ivey also said, "[Dara] brings the feistiness that all Mabrey sisters have."
Dara Mabrey is the sister of current ND assistant coach Michaela Mabrey and former ND star Marina Mabrey.
Other experienced players returning for the Irish this year include junior guard Anaya Peoples, junior forward Sam Brunelle, and sophomore Maddy Westbeld, who is a Preseason All-ACC selection.
