Notre Dame women return to the hardwood

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Notre Dame women's basketball team took to the court for the first time since their heartbreaking loss in the national championship.

Thursday night the Irish took on Edinboro University. By halftime they had a 30-point lead and pummeled the visitors 88-28.

More than 8,000 fans packed the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center. Last year, more than 7,500 people showed up for last year's exhibition.
