SOUTH BEND, Ind -- Week seven in the books for the Irish as they improve to 2-2 at home and 4-3 overall.
The Irish wanted to do two things in this matchup they wanted to get out to a quick start on offense and protect home field. They did both of those going for 23 points in the first quarter and route to a 44-21 win over UNLV.
"Anytime you're able to get a win but a winning Notre Dame Stadium it's special and guys we know it was a tough week. For all of us," said Head Coach Marcus Freeman.
"Special teams is always something that Notre Dame always hypes on always works on it. Coach Mason put me in the right position to round a long snapper doesn't make a play. We've seen the opening for the last couple of games that UNLV showed and we just took opportunity from it," said Defensive Lineman Isaiah Foskey.
Although the Irish played far from perfect in this matchup, they still performed well on all three phases of the game but they still need to clean some things up before heading to play Syracuse on the road next week.
