As for the latest on injuries, Notre Dame is currently without the services of tight end Cole Kmet, who will be out for between four and 10 weeks following a broken collar bone.
Wide receiver Michael Young sustained the same injury on Saturday while going up for a jump ball, which will also leave him on the sidelines for anywhere from four to 10 weeks.
Local stand-out Paul Moala recently had surgery on this thumb.
