Comfortable weather lasts through Saturday
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Notre Dame Fighting Irish hits the road to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels on Saturday.
The Irish look to win their second game of the season against the Tar Heels but it wont be easy as North Carolina is currently ranked fourth in scoring and fifth in total offense.
The Irish Defense, has not forced a single turnover through its first three games, but after last weeks win against the University of California, players confident they have what it takes.
"I know they're going to do a lot of RPOs after a big shot play, or big run, or screen play, or something like that, or draw. So, after big plays, you just got to get your foot back on the ground, with what they're calling and go back at it." Said Notre Dame Lineman and Captain, Isaiah Foskey.
"We're focusing on making sure our gaps are completely sealed, making sure the QB has no time, or as little time as possible, just basically giving him stress all game, and I think we can do that. I know we can do that." Said Notre Dame Defensive Lineman, Howard Cross.
The Notre Dame defense unfortunately, will play without Linebacker JD Bertrand for the first half of Saturdays game after a targeting call last week against the Golden Bears.
