Notre Dame lands power forward from Pittsburgh

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The transfer portal was profitable for the Irish Monday as they signed All-ACC power forward Liatu King from Pittsburgh.

King comes to the Irish following four years with the Panthers. She is only one of three ACC players that averaged a double-double last season with 18.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game.

King's senior year included 18 double-doubles, two of which were against Notre Dame.

With a 52.3 field goal percentage, King is ranked fourth in the ACC conference at 51st in the nation. The Washington D.C. native also earned All-ACC First Team honors last season, as well as the conference's Most Improved Award.

King will join Maddy Westbeld to become one of the best power forward duos in the country.

Irish fans have a lot to look forward to this season, as King, Westbeld, Sonia Citron, Hannah Hidalgo and Olivia Miles have all at one point been named All-ACC First Team in their careers.
