NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- Another major setback for Notre Dame Football.
18 more players testing positive for coronavirus
Coach Brian Kelly is now blaming the outbreak on a pregame meal and a player becoming ill on the sidelines against South Florida.
Kelly telling ESPN Tuesday the team is making major changes and will now have rapid antigen tests available on the sidelines to detect any infected players faster.
The Irish will also eat pre-game meals at a large convention center space so players can spread out more before the next game.
But with one game already postponed and almost a third of the team in isolation or quarantine, will the October 10th game against Florida State really happen?
Tim Prister is with Irish Illustrated.
“There is a possibility this game can't be played on Oct. 10. This would be unusual considering it would have been 3 week between games. But you have to get a grip on this,” said Prister.
The Irish are back conditioning and for now they're still scheduled to play the Seminoles in 10 days.
If that happens ABC57 Saturday Kickoff will be there live leading you up to game time.
