SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame Athletics is launching a multi-year partnership with a leader in digital financial services.

Officials announced the program has entered a deal with SoFi Technologies. A press release from the university says SoFi is a catch-all finance app that includes, among others, checking, investing, and crypto services. It's said to have 14.7 million members.

Notre Dame officials say a new fund will be created aimed at supporting student athletes through scholarships, financial education, career development, and more. A one-year full tuition scholarship will also be offered annually to one walk-on athlete in both men's and women's sports.

The collaboration also includes a new patch that will be on every Notre Dame athlete's jersey.
