NILES, Mich. -- Grab your swords and corsets, the annual Niles Renaissance Faire is back for its eighth year, welcoming all ages to a weekend of costumes, food, and fun.

Leave the modern world behind and take a step back in time, the event commences on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and May 17 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Plym Park in Niles. The day will be full of events including an armored combat, live performances by bards and entertainers, vendors with handmade wares, a traveling jailer, and a children's scavenger hunt.

All are welcome to attend and encouraged to dress in costume but be prepared to dress for the weather.

• Seniors and Veterans - $5
• Age 13 and up - $10
• Children 5 to 12 - $5
• Children under 5 - Free
