Niles man arrested on charges of Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes

JUNE 23 UPDATE: Stephen Gill pleaded guilty to the charge Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes and was sentenced to three years of probation and 150 days in jail with 103 days served in Cass County earlier this week.

His jail time has not been suspended and he is expected to serve the full sentence.

MARCH 11 ORIGINAL: CASS COUNTY, Ind. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office has a man behind bars after an investigation yielded enough evidence for charges of Accosting Children for Immoral Purposes, Using a Computer to Commit a Crime, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

The CCSO says 38-year-old Stephen Frank Gill, of Niles, Mich., was arrested on March 9 after a search warrant was served on an address on Lake St. in Cass County's Howard Township around 5:45 p.m. that night.

Gill was arraigned on March 11 and his bond was set at $50,000.
