Niles-Buchanan YMCA hosting ribbon-cutting for expansion

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – A ribbon-cutting will be held to celebrate the YMCA of Greater Michiana’s completion to an expansion to the Niles-Buchanan YMCA on Tuesday at 5:15 pm.

The YMCA broke ground on the 14,000 square foot addition in June of 2020, after meeting fundraising goals of the Changing Lives, Improving Health campaign.

The addition included a full-size gymnasium, youth room, teen room, fitness studio, wellness room, personal training mezzanine and office space. These spaces will provide activities for children and teens in a productive environment.

The ribbon-cutting will be held at the Niles-Buchanan YMCA on 905 N Front St., Niles, Mich. The event will be hosted by the Greater Niles Chamber of Commerce and Buchanan Area Chamber of Commerce.
