The heat wave is over! Finally, a comfortable night ahead with lows falling into the lower 60s for a change under clear skies. Monday will be in the low to mid 80s but with very low humidity, so it will be a pleasant late June day with sunny skies from start to finish. However, warmth and heat will start to invade the Great Lakes beginning Tuesday, so late night thunderstorms are looking increasingly likely Monday night into Tuesday morning. This first round of thunderstorms Tuesday morning could be strong to potentially severe, with damaging winds being the greatest risk. Timing on that is not very conducive for severe weather though, but still bears watching. Heat and humidity build Tuesday afternoon which could set the stage for a second round of strong to severe thunderstorms late Tuesday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds once again the largest concern. A few scattered storms could fire Wednesday afternoon in our southern counties before quiet weather settles in to end the work week.
Tonight: Clear. Low 61.
Monday: Pleasant and sunny. High 84.
Tuesday: Thunderstorms with severe weather possible. Hot and humid. High 91.
Wednesday: Scattered PM storms and humid. High 86.
