Kicking off day two of the Gus Macker Basketball Tournament
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Northern Indiana Atheist's road cleanup volunteer day took place on Sunday along S.R. 23.
The organization participates in the Adopt a Highway Program four times a year, where they collect garbage in St. Joseph County from Capital Avenue to Adams Road.
Tonna Robinson, Northern Indiana Atheist volunteer, stated, "We think community cleanup events are important one because it's important to take care of the environment and important to take care of each other, to keep the community clean when we all live in this community, and so we all participate in caring for it."
