GOSHEN, Ind. -- Goshen Parks and Recreation announced the city’s brand-new disc golf course will officially open for play on Friday at Mullet Park.

The 9-hole course was constructed with the public’s help as community members supplied input for the course that the parks and recreation board sorted and approved for construction efforts.

Disc golf is played very similarly to regular golf by substituting balls for discs and holes in the ground for standing baskets.

The objective of the sport is to throw the disc into the basket in as few throws as possible.

Interested players are encouraged to park at the north end of Shanklin Park, 411 West Plymouth Avenue.
