Mural honors star athlete Skylar Diggins-Smith

Skylar Diggins-Smith returned to South Bend Thursday for the unveiling of a mural in her honor at the Martin Luther King Jr Community Center on Linden Avenue.

Diggins-Smith began her athletic career playing at the center and then at Washington High School. She went on to play basketball for Notre Dame and was drafted into the WNBA.

She currently plays for the Phoenix Mercury.
