BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety reports their crews along with automatic aid partners St. Joseph Department of Public Safety and Benton Charter Township Fire Department responded to a house fire around 3:30 a.m. Friday.

The fire occurred at a home at 1079 McAlister Ave. near May Street in Benton Harbor.

The report states crews found a fire on the first floor and were able to quickly bring it under control.

No injuries have been reported.

The three residents have been displaced and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

Fire officials say the scene was cleared by 4:40 a.m.
